Compounding extruder used to manufacture rigid and flexible lead-free PVC compounds

During our 50 years in the PVC compounding business Dugdale have developed literally thousands of PVC compounds for almost as many applications.

As we move towards the PVC industry voluntary commitment to phase out the use of lead in compounds by 2015 as well as meeting REACH compliance, we are creating innovative new materials based on next generation additive technology.

Over the past five years we have invested over £2.5 million in new plant, reorganisation and the appointment of key technical staff as part of a strategy to drive the business forward through the development and manufacture of high performance PVC compounds. Three new Buss extruders, handling plant and a dedicated development machine have been installed. We have also added two 60 tonne silos and a mixer featuring the latest blade design and cooling technology to feed our Buss quantec 80 reciprocating single screw extruder - the first of its type to be sold in the UK.

The development of new rigid and flexible PVC materials is a key focus area. We are committed to building on our experience and know-how to expand our range of cellular grades, anti-microbial compounds, sealing and intumescent products as well as PVC alloys for elevated temperature applications.
