1896 – S Dugdale Son & Company was founded and commenced business as cotton spinners.
1925 – Moved to Valley Mill.
1950 – Started to manufacture PVC plastisols.
1959 – Ceased activity in the cotton trade. Started manufacture of flexible PVC compounds.
1962 – Ceased activity in PVC plastisols. Concentrated solely on flexible PVC compounds for the footwear and cable industry.
1988 – Production volume increased to 8000 tonnes per annum.
1998 – Sales increased to 12000 tonnes per annum following the introduction of rigid PVC compounds. Business had diversified into other flexible products such as crystal clear injection moulding and GP extrusion.
2001 – David Dugdale retired. Company subsequently sold to Richard Bickerton and Tom Durkin. Dugdale plc formed.
2004 – Dugdale invest £500,000 and bring first Buss Quantec compounding extruder to the UK.
2006 – David Outen and Jeff Ryan were recruited to the company, providing additional PVC knowledge.
